About the Role

Do you want to make a difference? If you are not already a trained guard, Securitas will cover your training before employment.

As a patrolling guard, your main task is to provide security for our customers - primarily at industries, offices, and workshops - by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you will manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

As a stationary guard, your main task is to provide security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. Often, you will work at the entrance of a larger company, checking those who pass in and out, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility.

The positions are suitable for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Katrineholm, you will become part of a close-knit team. The tasks are highly varied, and as a guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, night or day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Since we are a business that operates all year round, it is common to work every other weekend.

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civil or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you who apply are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• The position is a part-time employment with start date as agreed, but no later than June 1st. We apply a 6-month probationary period

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
